For years many Vietnam War veterans received neither thanks nor recognition for their service and sacrifice. Nearly ten years after the war an outpouring of gratitude for those who served and those who died in Vietnam began, often led by fellow Vietnam veterans. Many veterans invested their own fortunes and time in memorials honoring their comrades, resulting in over 1000 memorials throughout the U.S. Each is unique and each has its own story, but many remain unknown except to those who helped create them. This book was written so the greater veterans’ community might become more aware of these unique and compelling memorials.
It says to all Vietnam Veterans – Welcome Home!
